My Work Today: Technopolicy Network
What makes a regional innovation policy successful?
This is the central question of the Technopolicy Network. A network that joins Science Based Regions at different stages of development with researchers, strategists and incubators.
Many regions have an ambition to use their science base as a driver for economic development. Different tools are available for promoting innovation and for shaping an environment where entrepreneurship and risk taking are encouraged. At the same time, academics evaluate these policies in order to rate their effectiveness.
The Technopolicy Network brings together experts and practitioners on Science Based Regional Development. Together, they engage in an exchange of knowledge and experience that helps policy makers, technology transfer officers, facilitators and researchers alike. The international contacts promote a broader understanding of the issues involved and provide opportunities for cooperation.
