Alan Barrell helps launch Brainport 2020 Regional Strategy in Eindhoven | February 2011
With more than 1,000 academics, pubic policy leaders and corporate heads present, at the Philips Conference Dome in Eindhoven on 16th February, Professor Alan Barrell was the invited opening keynote speaker as the South East Netherlands Economic and Social Strategy to 2020 was unveiled. The talk drew parallels between the South East Netherlands Region and Hi-Tech Cluster and the Greater Cambridge "Phenomenon" Region. Significant collaborations are in place between SE Netherlands Region and Greater Cambridge. These include a major Digital healthcare related project within the EC Interreg. programmes portfolio.
